TICK-TOCK, TICK-TOCK
Just a quick blur of a day flashes by, and before you know it, it’s dinner time and the night is winding down.
Where does the time go?!
I ask myself this question so often, I should probably tire of it by now; but time continues to flit on by — whether I want it to or not.
Tick-tock, tick-tock. So many days I feel as if I am racing against the clock, for there is so much work to be done, and I cannot possibly do it all on my own! On the days where I am feeling overwhelmed and a tad bit stressed with work and the day to day struggles, James 4:14 comes to mind:
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
We are here on earth for a length of time, and then it is gone, over. Time is our greatest enemy, it never sleeps, never rests, and never stops. So many times we feel as if we have all of the time in the world, and that is a false sense of security that I have come to terms with and now realize, I’ve got to let go. Every second I waste scrolling through Pinterest or Instagram is a second that could be spent on something valuable and more worthy of my time.
I want to encourage you ladies to be intentional in the conscious ways that we spend our time, let us strive to make the biggest difference possible. What things could you be doing with those spare moments to draw you nearer to God?
THE CHIME OF TIME
Time is valuable, precious
Time is fleeting, my dear
One second can make you breathless
One second could bring great fear
Time is of the essence
so, darling go and live
There is no time to be messin’
Life’s too short, go and do it big
Every time a moment slips
Your life has went away
I’m not one for giving’ tips
But now is no time to play
Its a race ya know
Against the clocks of time
There is no friend or foe
Until the final chime
Do all ya can while ya can
For every moment counts
At the end, you don’t want to just begin
So, by all means go and settle your accounts
For my dear friend…time is running out!
