SPRING IS UPON US!
And with spring come all of the exciting bursts of colors everywhere you look, where all things living are blooming and painting our scenery and landscape. Perfect timing with Easter happening this weekend!
Two of my favorite concepts when it comes to fashion and style: texture and color. This outfit incorporates both of these concepts and makes it a favorite. Texture gives that little extra feel-good factor while wearing an outfit. Experimenting with colors can also revamp that boring “match everything with black” outfit to something more exciting. So don’t be shy — mix and match those colors, prints, and textures!
I am all for bows, and this blouse does not disappoint. This top is an old New York & Co. blouse, and I literally wear it with everything. The blush color is perfect for mixing with bolder hues or keeping a neutral outfit neutral, usually adding in just a bit of daintiness.
This skirt basically screams spring. Its chartreuse color is perfect for mixing with bold patterns or even subdued hues. Midi skirts are essential in my book: they can be dressed up or down simply by what accessories you add and what shoes you wear it with. Also, it has pockets. That alone makes it a winner! This skirt is from Banana Republic and currently sold out, but you can find a similar one here.
I cannot get enough of tassels, and any chance to use this little clutch is always welcome. This velvet tassel clutch is another sale item I got from Target and is still available online.
These velvety heels are a girl’s dream! Boden heels never fail to cheer me up with their exciting colors, and designs. I got these on sale around New Year’s and have been waiting for an excuse to wear them. The beading on them is so intricate and matched my chartreuse skirt perfectly. These are still available, but only in limited sizes here. They are also available in black and oatmeal, and I feel like I need them all colors!
What will you be pulling together for these upcoming spring weekends? I want to encourage you to experiment with colors and pull together some new outfits with things you already own!
xoxo,
